Ancient History

This was taken in '57.  Santa brought my Belle Margie the Christmas before.  (I'm on the far left)

Home for Displaced Fashion Models

My Margie is on the far left.  These are a few of my 17" very played with dolls.  I seem to have a soft spot for the ladies who have been loved to death.  Sooner or later I'll find their original clothing and give them a spa treatment.  My favorite dolls are the ones I've received from the original owners, in any condition.

I'm probably the Queen of the Unmarked Doll Collectors.  I got hooked when I was trying to identify my doll.  Along the way, I've discovered that not only the gorgeous Belle dolls were unmarked, but other beauties, like the Arranbee glamour dolls.    Sometimes it pays to love "generic"!

Plastic Surgery

This is one of my favorite before and after dolls.  I cleaned this Horsman Cindy thoroughly, took her clothes completely apart to clean, and re-rooted her hair.  Her coloring was lovely un-retouched.  I love the outfit!

Planned Parrot-Hood

Our pets (that we've had for 12 and 15 years) surprised us with  FIVE babies (oh please, I hope I don't have to come back and edit that number!)  Unfortunately, they aren't feeding their hatchlings.  So my dear, wonderful, perfect husband  is handfeeding them.  This is a 24/7 job with half-ounce hatchlings.

This picture shows Doodle, our oldest chick with Victory, our next to youngest.  You can click on the picture to watch their progress - we add new pictures about every week.  Yes, we do need to find them good  PERFECT homes.  They are named Doodle, Yankee, Liberty, Victory and Rocket.  I call them puppies with feathers.
