Help Me!

From Linda in Australia:

"My mother has a doll that was given to her when she was six in 1949. It is Australian made but we can not read the name on the back of the neck properly we think it has Zerless on it. We where hoping that you might be able to help us find some information about the doll. Thank you.
Linda"

The doll owner believes the neck marking could also be "Perless."  The doll appears to be constructed of composition.  I would also guess the wig is a replacement.  Click on the picture for another view.  -- Lisabeth
